The process of bacterial transformation results from the introduction specific genetic material into bacteria cells and subsequent gene expression. This technology has significant applications in cloning technology, allows new possibilities for breeding. use cellulose babassu mesocarp to improve was not found literature. Thus, objective this work evaluate effect biopolymers (cellulose biopolymer rich starch extracted mesocarp) on efficiency process. were characterized by XRD, FTIR, zeta potential, thermal analysis, agarose gel electrophoresis DLS. carried out using plasmid pGEM E. coli. It investigated cytotoxicity different concentrations materials DNA transformation. study demonstrated that 0.050 mg/mL both increased transformation, small amount combining with allowed obtaining satisfactory results. Therefore, can be used studies involving transfer cells.
